Introduction to spam filtering

The spam filtering function in PersonalMail allows you to prevent unsolicited email (spam) from reaching your mailbox.

 

By enabling spam filtering for your account, every email which you receive is carefully evaluated in a variety of ways. If the email possesses a preponderance of "spam-like" characteristics, then the email is categorized as spam.

 

One of three things can be done with email flagged as Spam: "Tag and Deliver", "Delete" and "Quarantine". For more information on these and more advanced features, see the section titled spam delivery options.

 

By disabling spam filtering for your account, all email will bypass the spam filter and be delivered directly to your mailbox.
