Selecting a page to edit
The layout and content of your pages will determine information is available on your website and how it is formatted. There are several aspects of layout and content that should be considered for each page. As you edit a page, the label of the button that links to the page is displayed near the top of the screen.
1 - Select a page to edit
To work with the layout and content of a page, select it from the "Jump to page:" menu at the top right of the EasySiteWizard window. The image of a house indicates your home page, and you can create up to eight additional pages. In the example, page number 8 is being edited.
Darkened numbers in the "Jump to page:" menu indicate pages that cannot be edited because of the button settings. If you cannot select a page, click "Back" to check your button settings for that button. You may have forgotten to activate the button, or you may not have linked it to a custom page built with EasySiteWizard. The button may link to your home page, send you an email or link to an external link instead.
2 - Select a layout for a page
The layout choices are displayed at the top of the EasySiteWizard window. There is a box around the layout that is currently selected. Select the layout that you would like for the page by clicking on it. In the example, the first layout has been selected.
The number of content zones in your chosen layout will determine the number of content zones that you can fill with text/HTML or images. There are three zones in the example, because there are three zones in the chosen layout.
3 - Enter Text/HTML on a page
To enter text or HTML into a page, go to the content zone in your layout that you want to work on, and select "Text/HTML." If you select "an image" instead, your text will not be displayed.
Enter your text in the text box. You may wish to learn a few HTML tags in order to format your text. If you wish to include HTML within a text area, be sure to edit your code carefully.
4 - Insert an image on a page
To include .gif, .jpg, and .png images to use on your pages, go to the content zone that you want to edit, and select "an image."
