To delete a contact from the main contacts page, select it and click the "Delete Selected" button, or click its trash can image. Multiple contacts can be deleted with multiple selections. There is no way to recover a deleted contact.
A contact can also be deleted from the contact editing page by clicking on the "Delete" button.
