To check or change your spam filtering sensitivity, follow these steps:
From the PersonalMail main menu, click on "control my junk email".
If your spam filter is off, click "I want to turn ON my spam filter".
Underneath "I want to set the filtering sensitivity level', the current sensitivity level will be indicated. If you want to change the sensitivity of your spam filter, complete steps 4 and 5.
Click on the "set filtering sensitivity level" link. All available sensitivity levels will be displayed. The current sensitivity level will also be indicated.
Click on the radio button located beside the desired sensitivity level, and click "Ok".
An explanation of sensitivity levels is as follows:
Light filtering: this sensitivity level should be used if you are particularly concerned about legitimate email being inadvertently classified as spam. Please be aware that on light filtering it is relatively easy for some types of spam to get past the filter undetected.
Standard filtering: this is the default sensitivity level. The majority of spam will be detected at this sensitivity level.
Aggressive Filtering: use this sensitivity level if you receive large volumes of spam, and want to minimize the risk of any spam getting through undetected. Please note that this setting has a higher chance of accidentally categorizing legitimate email as spam.
