Blocked languages

Sometimes spam or other unwanted email will be composed using a specific multilingual character set. The spam filter can be set to automatically assume that email composed using these other character sets are spam. By default, this is not done.

 

To check or change your spam filter language options, follow these steps:

  1. From the PersonalMail main menu, click on "control my junk email".

  2. If your spam filter is off, click "I want to turn ON my spam filter".

  3. Underneath "I want to block email sent in certain languages", the current status of language blocking is listed. To change what languages are blocked, or view your blocked languages in finer detail, complete steps 4 and 5.

  4. Click on the "block email sent in certain languages" link. All blockable languages will be displayed.

  5. If you want to change what languages are blocked, place or remove checkmarks beside each listed language, as desired,  and click "Ok" to save your changes. If you do not want to save your changes, click "Cancel".
