Activating and deactivating an autoresponder

You can only activate or deactivate a previously created autoresponder. If you have not created any autoresponders, please refer to Creating a basic autoresponder and Creating a custom autoresponder.

 

To activate a previously created autoresponder, follow these steps:

  1. From PersonalMail's main menu, click on the "manage my automatic reply messages" link. You will be presented with a list of active and inactive autoresponders. Your inactive autoresponders will initially be "hidden"; you will only see a line indicating that you have a certain number of inactive autoresponders.

  2. Click on "Show inactive" to display your inactive autoresponders.

  3. Click on the "turn ON" link underneath the autoresponder you would like to activate.

  4. The autoresponder will now be displayed in the active autoresponders list.
     

To activate more than one autoresponder, repeat steps 3 and 4.

 

To deactivate a previously created autoresponder, follow these steps:

  1. From PersonalMail's main menu, click on the "manage my automatic reply messages" link. You will be presented with a list of active and inactive autoresponders.

  2. Click on the "turn OFF" link underneath the autoresponder you would like to deactivate.

  3. The autoresponder will now be displayed in the inactive autoresponders list.

 

To deactivate more than one autoresponder, repeat steps 2 and 3.

 

When you are finished deactivating or activating your autoresponders, click "Ok".
